Putting to use technology perfected in their ultra-high-performance tires， Yokohama engineers have molded the Geolander A/T truck tires out of a silica enhanced tread compound. This unique composite allows the All-Terraintires to grip the roads surface in both hot and cold temperatures. Additionally， the race inspired compound also prolongs the life of the tread wear to ensure maximum mileage output of the tires. Separated into five different tread columns the Yokohama Geolander A/T segments each zone according to its function. The primary center tread zone is responsible for maintaining constant contact with the road while also keeping a true unswerving drive experience. Plus， alternating center blocks work in conjunction with arching intermediate blocks to deliver off-road bite in loose dirt， gravel， and sand. Adding additional traction when necessary is a sidewall protector that further extend the shoulder blocks and protect against cuts and abrasions due to navigating off-road obstacles while also providing a type of lateral grip in tight situations.
